We are starting a new series of Bible studies on 'How to Interpret the Bible'. Some of you are well versed in the Bible and others have not looked at it in a while. This is a perfect time to get reacquainted and learn the importance of the messages in this Book as we walk with Jesus.

For those who have watched videos from Hope Sabbath School, they begin with a song, the lyrics of which are from the Book (NKJV version) or the subject that is being studied. For this study, they chose to put to music Jeremiah 29:11-14, which happens to be New Life's theme for this year. The lyrics are attached for you follow along and listening makes it easier to remember the verses.
Also, for those who want an overview of Jeremiah (52 chapters) click on the link below from "Bible Project". It is a short 7 minute summary of the entire Book and is easy to follow. It is written in a format similar to "Bible for Dummies", so even I can understand and get meaning from it. It is one way of dividing and interpreting the Book of Jeremiah.

I have also attached the script from The Bible Project's summary of Jeremiah.

Like myself, everyone's lives have been disrupted by the current coronavirus pandemic. Many steps have been taken to limit the meeting of persons for fear of transmission and rapid spread of the disease, especially among those considered in the high risk groups. While we are not meeting in person, I have attached this lesson on a chapter in the Book of Jeremiah. I will continue to send out a new lesson twice a month.
The following has been attached to help you:
1) The outline for the chapter on Jeremiah - the Prophetic Calling
2) Kings of Israel and division Israel into the Northern and Southern Kingdoms - 1047 to 930BC.
3) The Prophets and Kings timeline in the Old Testament.
